1．Where do you come from? 你是哪國人？
問對圓是什麼處所人。come from表示来源或籍貫。也可讲：Where are you from? 在第7課中湧現過近似的句子。
2．What's the climate like in your country? 你們國度的氣象怎樣？
句中like是介詞，不是動詞，它的賓語是 What。又如：What's the weather like in spring? climate指某一地区數年間的氣候情况；weather是指某個特定的時光內陰、雨、風、雪變更。對那類題目标答復能夠是 It's very pleasant（很好）或 It rains sometimes（有時下雨）。這裏的it均指天气。
3．It's often windy in March. 3月裏經常起風。
表現在某個月份裏通經常应用介詞in。类似用in的時候短語課文中还有 in April（在4月），in June（正在 6月），in September（在 9月）等等。
often（经常），always（总是，總是），sometimes（有時）皆是課文中呈現的默示非斷定頻度的副詞。這些副詞個別用来回答用how often 發問的問題。
語法 Grammar in use
What…(be. look, etc.) like? 偺們把What…like? 這一句型用於扣問事物的狀態，例如天氣、氣候等：
What's the weather like today? 来日氣象怎樣樣？
What's it like today? 古天怎麼樣？
What's the climate like in your country? 你們國度天氣怎樣樣？
或訊問人物或事物的中不雅观或特點：
What's your brother like? 您兄弟是個什麼模樣？
What's your house like? 你的房子是甚麼樣的？
良多描写詞可用以答复What…like? 如許的成勣，並可根据高下文賜與形象的或確實的疑息。例如課文中表示氣候或天氣的描述詞有pleasant（惱人的），windy（有風的），hot（熱的），cold（熱的），warm（温暖的）等等。

（2）（人或其名义、舉止等）討人愛好的；（性情等）跟顏悅色的：
She's such a pleasant girl. 她實是個可惡的女人。
Andrew seemed very pleasant on the phone. 安德魯在德律風裏隱得很藹然可親。
